Low Profile Switch Joystick----SWITCH JOYSTICK

APEM 1000 JOYSTICKS

1000 Series

The 1000 series are robust, switch joysticks.  Based on industry standard V3 and V4 micro-switches, they can switch 6A, 10A or up to 15A.  Available with either single or two poles, the 1000 series are ideal for general machine control type applications where the user is directing equipment at a predetermined speed.  Supplied with user-changeable limiter plates, the 1000 Series
can be configured to operate in either single or dual axes mode. The range is designed to mount in either screw or bush style configurations and is offered as a low cost solution for non-proportional control. The above panel appearance of the 1000 Series may be customized by selecting either
of the mounting styles and also choosing from the range of fully interchangeable handles and accessories.

8000 Series

The 8000 Series is a new range of microswitch joysticks. Based on the proven mechanics of the 9000 Series, the 8000 Series utilises high quality microswitches to provide a range of possible outputs, including the option of progressive switching on a single axis for dual speed control.

The microswitches have changeover contacts and are rated to a maximum of 1 Amp, whilst having gold plated contacts for reliable switching at lower current levels.

With six possible switching configurations offered as standard, in either single or dual axes formats. The 8000 Series also introduces a number of new handle options including a larger push button handle, and a multi-function two button handle.

Low Profile Switch Joystick----PROPORTIONAL JOYSTICK

3000 Series Industrial Contactless Joystick

The 3000 Series is the very latest generation in high precision contactless joysticks. With a class leading installed depth of<19mm, it is available in one, two or three axes formats. Long trouble-free life is assured with the latest hall effect technology, providing a range of analogue signals or custom PWM output options. The 3000 Series also delivers a radically improved mechanism construction, that is specifically designed for increased robustness, strength and performance.

4000 Series Industrial Potentiometer Joystick

The 4000 Series is a range of highly versatile, single, dual or
tri-axial, proportional joysticks. Unlike many other
potentiometer-based joysticks, the 4000 Series has a metal mechanism for maximum possible robustness and performance.
over life. The range employs high quality, plastic conductive film potentiometers as standard, and is designed as a sub-panel
mount unit. Available with many different above panel options,
the 4000 Series is ideally suited to medium duty applications
such as electric vehicle control.  This series remains the
preferred choice for applications, which require greater then
five million life cycles and absolute immunity to RFI

5000 Series Light Duty Potentiometer Joystick

The 5000 Series is a family of cost optimised, potentiometer joysticks. With a low installed depth
these joysticks are ideal for light to medium duty applications such as CCTV keyboard control.
Configurable in up to three axes for pan, tilt and zoom control, these joysticks are also offered
with a range of handles, gaiters and bezels to ensure they blend seamlessly into the control panel.

9000 Series Contactless Industrial Joystick

The 9000 Series offers a range of single, dual or tri-axial products, utilizing contactless sensing to
give highly repeatable proportional signals that do not degrade with use. The 9000 Series builds
on the well-proven traditions of the earlier 7000 Series, yet introduces significantly improved
mechanics to deliver a shallow installed depth without compromising functionality.
The 9000 Series can be mounted as a drop-in or sub-panel fixing product and offers a range
of electronic features including dual decode technology providing for electronic “at centre” or
“internal fault” detect, which makes it the ideal user interface for complex and safety critical
applications such as materials handling or power chair control.

USB Interface

The Apem Components USB Joystick Interface is designed to connect a joystick with up-to 3 axes and 8 buttons to a USB port on a PC or MAC
We have utilised a "JoyWarrior" controller chip from Code Mercenaries for controlling the USB interface.
The interface is Fully USB V1.1/2,0 and HID compliant. It is compliant. Its is compatible with standard system drivers, so no special drivers are required
There are 3 analog inputs for X, Y and Z axes with 10 bit resolution and connectors for up to 8 pushbuttons.
